An Injury And A Missed Opportunity

I'm so frustrated!
Sorry for the temper tantrum.  I'm just a little concerned right now.  I was making progress in ballet, then I was thrown off track by something as small as a bruised toenail.  I mean come on, it's just a toenail!  I wasn't able to dance at all over the weekend, and this week I'm not able to go on pointe.  My feet and ankles really need to build up strength.  Before going back to the ballet school I didn't have enough opportunities to work on pointe, and it's not helping that I can't dance on pointe now.
That's not all though.  For some reason I feel super tired.  Yesterday was a bad class, and I left feeling extremely discouraged.  My legs were shaking the entire time, and I wasn't able to correct some of the things the teachers have been yelling at me about.  I long to show them I'm able to apply what they've taught me, yet I feel like I'm failing.
Then I found out I had been invited to rehearse with the company.  A few weeks ago.  I had failed to get the message, so now I'm worried that they'll think I'm not interested.  I left a note for the ballet mistress explaining my absence, but I'm worried she won't get it.  To think, I could have been rehearsing with the company!!!!  I'm so mad at myself for messing that up.
Enough complaining.  Now it's time to focus on getting my toenail healed, building up my strength, and letting everyone know I am serious about getting in the company.

  2. Oh that is so horrible! Its okay to be upset and frustrated sometimes, you'll feel better after you let it all out.

Im sure the ballet mistress will get your note and be super understanding. Injuries are super common in the world of ballet, no biggie!

  4. Oh, I'm so sorry! I can totally understand your frustrations! But don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes life comes at us in all direction and it can be so discouraging. But I have no doubt you'll get right back on track and everything will work out just perfectly!
